Great to see the work Chris Lange and his wife Kathy are doing with 1st Class Gardens to help keep New Zealand beautiful.

I didn’t realise that 1st Class Gardens, based in Massey, is New Zealand´s only ultra-low emission lawn care service, using battery-powered tools and an electric van and bicycle for most of their client visits! At the Local Business Network this is definitely something we support.

This family-owned and family-run business has been providing quality and reliable garden and lawn care services since 2009, when they started with just one lawnmower and a few hand tools. Now they have a loyal customer base and are continually innovating to ensure their business continues to provide top-notch service as well as being environmentally-friendly.

Chris loves being outdoors and working with nature and is passionate about seeing spaces transformed and renewed with a bit of love and care. “I love it when a client sees our work and says ´wow´.” 1st Class Gardens have also been getting involved in their community by providing gardening help to their local Massey Community Church and they hope to find sustainable ways to support other local causes.

It is great to see local businesses that genuinely care about their clients, their staff, and their local and wider community.
